Port na Spaniagh, Causeway Headlands (09022262)

This is a rarely seen view of Port na Spaniagh taken while standing on the remote Lacada Point. In 1588, the Armada warship, The Girona, sank in this bay with a loss of 1300 men. Port na Spaniagh is a cold, north facing cove which is very difficult to access since the closure of the lower cliff path in 1994.
