Pleaskin Head, Causeway Headlands (08060331) - County Antrim
The Pleaskin is perhaps the most impressive headland at the Giant's Causeway. Due to the effects of erosion, all of the individual cliff layers can be seen. From the columnar volcanic basalt near the top to the ochre, iron rich zones and then the dark lower volcanic basalts . This photograph was taken from Hamilton's seat, a popular viewing point at Benbane Head.
